After deciding to end their 14-year-old marriage, the popular actor Kiccha Sudeep and his wife Priya on Friday have filed a petition before the family court seeking divorce by mutual consent. A shocker to his huge fan base, the actor had recently celebrated his birthday at his residence in JP Nagar. Interestingly Priya was not to be seen during the celebrations.

The actor said that due to some personal reasons and minor differences between them, they have decided to seek divorce. While requesting his fans to respect his personal space, he said that it is a small thing which happens to every common man. “I respect everything in life and everybody in life. I want to be with my family right now and hope the minor issues,” he said.

Priya, who hails from Kerala had earlier worked for an airline, and later for a bank before she got married to Kiccha Sudeep in 2001. In fact, the actor married soon after his maiden success at the box office – Huccha which was released in 2001.

The couple blessed with daughter Saanvi, and reportedly the actor has allegedly proposed to give full custody of his daughter to his wife. There are even reports that the actor has allegedly agreed upon the alimony which runs to not less than Rs 10 crore. The actor is busy these days with his ongoing cricket tournament Karnataka Premier League, which he co-owns. He also owns a team in the cricket celebrity league. After Eega, Maanikya, his stardom rose to new heights with Ranna, a guest role in Baahubali. He also features in Vijay’s most expected film in Tamil Puli wherein he stars alongside Bollywood beauty Sridevi.
